The fearless leader himself, David has been running the Prince George's chapter for two years now, with no end in sight.
When he's not taking wonderful children riding and teaching them about overcoming obstacles in life and on the trail, he is a
father to three wonderful children
of his own. He also attempts to race and keep up with the younger ride leaders.
Chris has been around since the beginning of TFK PG. Joining us over 4 years ago and has been nominated as volunteer of the year twice during his tenure. He's sure to join us on almost every Thursday ride and every other Saturday/Sunday ride sharing his wealth of knowledge with the kids.
Barb has also been with Trips for Kids since the very beginning. She started helping out with TFK Metro DC, but quickly joined our ranks in PG. While she's not helping out with the rides, Barb's mission in life is to mountain bike every trail she can find from Virginia to California.
Kevin joined us while attending the University of Maryland and has stayed on since his graduation. A part time doctor in training, Kevin
also races mountain bikes during the summer months and always tries in vain to one up the "coach".
While that may be a fruitless effort,
Kevin gives back in so many ways. He not only helps the PG crowd, he's also working to get another branch started up in DC.
Hannah also joined us while attending the University of Maryland and stayed with us, for the love of the kids. While Hannah is always prepared to ride, the one thing she never forgets is her wonderful smile, which infects the kids and makes every ride special.
Dan is another rider from the University of Maryland. His favorite position is at the end of the train, where he helps out the struggling riders. Whether it is a desire to get away from him, or his kind words, riders don't stay at the back for very long. While Dan isn't studying or riding with us, he coaches the Maryland crew team and road races with the Maryland squad.
Ryan is a newcomer to the squad and also hails from the University of Maryland. Ryan is wonderful at stopping traffic at the intersections.
It could be because he's 6'3" or he looks mean, though it's hard to believe it with that smile. Ryan also races with the Maryland road squad and is
working on becoming a semi-pro in the mountain biking world.
